1. Purpose of Data Processing

We process data for the following purposes:

  • Manage the technical and administrative relationship arising from the use of our Shopify application.
  • Monitor store inventory levels in real-time to trigger automation rules.
  • Automatically archive products when their inventory reaches zero to hide them from the storefront.
  • Automatically republish archived products once they are restocked.
  • Reorder products within collections to move out-of-stock items to the bottom of the list.
  • Store the original manual arrangement of collections to allow for order restoration.
  • Provide the merchant with a dashboard to manually hide or show products with zero stock.
  • Respond to support requests and technical assistance.
  • Improve app functionality and user experience based on aggregated usage data.
  • Send service-related communications (updates, security alerts, and maintenance notices).

The data provided will not be used for purposes other than those described without explicit consent.


2. Legal Basis

The legal basis for processing your data is:

  • Performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures when you install and use the app.
  • The merchant's configuration and activation of automation rules within the app.
  • Legitimate interest of Grupo IO Ecommerce S.L. for service improvement, security, and statistical purposes.
  • Compliance with legal obligations (tax, commercial, and data protection regulations).

3. Data We Collect

3.1 Store and Inventory Information

When you install and use the app, we process information related to your Shopify store, such as:

  • Shopify store domain and basic configuration.
  • Product identifiers, titles, and real-time inventory levels.
  • Product statuses (Active, Archived, Draft).
  • Collection identifiers and current product sorting arrangements (saved for restoration purposes).
  • App configuration preferences (thresholds, auto-hide toggle, auto-sort activation).
  • Usage metrics and history of product status changes (Product History).

3.2 Customer Personal Data

This application is focused on inventory management and does not process or store personal data of your customers (such as names, emails, addresses, or phone numbers).


4. Data Recipients

Data may be shared only when necessary:

  • Legal obligation or operational necessity.
  • Shopify Platform: Through official APIs to sync product and collection data.
  • Technology Providers:
    • Vercel (hosting).
    • Neon.tech (PostgreSQL database service).

International transfers follow strict GDPR safeguards and Standard Contractual Clauses.


5. Data Retention

  • During subscription: Data required to provide the service (settings, collection orders) is retained while the app is installed.
  • After uninstall or Shop Redact webhook:
    • All store-specific data is deleted within 48 hours of uninstallation or a redaction request.
    • Basic session data is kept only if required by legal or tax obligations.

6. User Rights

You may exercise your rights (Access, Rectification, Deletion, etc.) by contacting: info@migraciones.io and attaching your ID or proof of ownership of the store.

You may also file complaints with the Spanish Data Protection Agency: www.aepd.es.


7. Security Measures

  • Full encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL).
  • Encrypted database storage.
  • OAuth 2.0 and session token authentication per Shopify standards.
  • Regular review of access logs and system security.

8. Cookies and Storage

The application uses standard authentication tokens and minimal server-side session storage to manage merchant access. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies on the storefront.


9. Shopify Mandatory Webhooks

We implement the Mandatory Data Protection webhooks required by Shopify:

  • customers/data_request: Returns no data as we do not store customer PII.
  • customers/redact: No data to redact as we do not store customer PII.
  • shop/redact: Deletes all app data, configuration settings, and product history for the store.
