Shopify conversion rate optimisation

We identify uncertainty and obstacles in your store and work on improvements that fit the business. Buying experience, development and data help us decide what to change and how to check it.

Improve my store

Separate reproducible errors from ideas that need testing

Conversion rate optimisation for Shopify identifies and improves parts of the journey that make it harder for a visit to become a purchase. The work can involve content, navigation, product pages, the cart or technical behaviour. At Migraciones.io, we distinguish a reproducible fault from a hypothesis: fixing a broken variant selector and changing a marketing message require different forms of validation.

What we review before proposing another change

Where context is lost

We check whether visitors understand what you sell, the differences between products and how to find a suitable option. Collections, filters and search are part of that journey. If a landing page does not meet the visitor’s expectations, moving a button will not supply the missing information.

What customers need to decide

On product pages, we review images, variants, measurements, compatibility and relevant conditions. Actual customer questions help identify uncertainty when they are available. The right improvement could be a readable size guide, a delivery explanation or clearer format selection; different products raise different questions.

What happens during a purchase

We follow selection, cart and checkout entry on mobile and desktop. We look for errors, shifting content and unclear states. Issues are documented with the conditions needed to reproduce them so the correction can be checked later.

What the data does and does not show

Before interpreting rates, we review the definitions of sessions, carts and purchases and the events your store uses. Periods and segments need to make sense for the business. An increase after a change does not, on its own, demonstrate that the change caused it.

A practical order for diagnosis and execution

If there is no reliable diagnosis yet, we define that first. A Shopify audit provides findings and priorities; implementation is scoped separately. If you already have a report, we can assess its evidence and define which improvements to carry out.

Prioritise in context

We organise proposals by the problem they solve, the pages affected, dependencies and the way success can be checked. A buying error may deserve attention before a more noticeable visual hypothesis. Volume, margin and operations also influence the decision.

Make changes you can review

We agree the interventions and use a suitable review environment. Design and behaviour are checked with real content before publication. Theme changes consider the content your team will need to maintain afterwards.

Assess the results

We define what to observe and a suitable evaluation period before making the change. Where data and a suitable method allow it, an experiment may be appropriate. Otherwise, we distinguish observation, functional testing and unresolved conclusions. A few purchases are not presented as statistical certainty.

The conversion rate does not tell the whole story

A discount can increase orders while reducing margin. A campaign can bring more poorly matched visits and lower the conversion rate without the store getting worse. We review acquisition, product, price and availability changes before attributing everything to design.

Revenue and margin

Where data is available, buying decisions are considered alongside order value, discounts, costs and returns. The project’s objective is agreed with the business rather than reduced to improving an isolated percentage.

What happens after the first intervention

Initial work may resolve specific faults while leaving other hypotheses open. Capacity, timing and further reviews are defined together. We do not assume every store needs a recurring engagement.

CRO, design and theme customisation in Shopify

Conversion improvement is listed among the services in our official Shopify Partners profile and Migraciones.io’s service offer. Explore our projects and explain which problem your store shares with them. Another business’s commercial results are not a forecast for yours.

Before we start

How is this different from a Shopify audit?

An audit provides diagnosis: documented issues and priorities. CRO work can include implementing and assessing agreed improvements. If you first need the diagnosis, we scope it as a separate piece of work.

Do I need a lot of traffic?

It depends on the objective and validation method. A reproducible error can be corrected with few visits. Comparing variants reliably needs suitable volume and duration; without them, we do not describe an observation as an experimental result.

Do you guarantee more sales?

We do not promise a sales increase without knowing the business or guarantee a percentage. We agree the problem, work and checks. Products, traffic, pricing, availability and operations also influence the outcome.

Do I have to redesign the whole store?

Not necessarily. The priority may be one product page, navigation or a particular fault. If the review supports a broader redesign, we explain what it would resolve and its dependencies before proposing it.

Does this include advertising and email marketing?

They are not assumed to be included. Acquisition and retention can inform the analysis, but campaigns, automation and advertising management need their own scope. This page focuses on the Shopify buying experience.
